Rosemary Garlic Fired "Chicken"

This amazing creation takes a little more skill than most but it is definitely worth it

1 Package of setain
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp of rosemary
2 tsp of crushed garlic
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cold soy milk
1/4 cup of cold water
2 tbsp of white vinegar

1 cup of bread crumbs

1-2 cup oil of vegetable oil

Mix together flour, nutritional yeast, seasonings, baking powder, and baking soda and thoroughly mix. In a separate bowl mix soy milk, water, and white vinegar and thoroughly mix. Combined both bowls together and mix gently! Then on a plate spread out the bread crumbs.

Dip seitan peices in batter mixture then coat each side in bread crumbs by laying the seitan on the breadcrumb plate. In a small frying pan add 1-2 cups of vegetable oil heat on medium - medium low. DO NOT OVER HEAT OIL!

Fry a piece of fully battered setian in oil for 3-5 mins on each side (tell golden brown)

pat out dry on a a paper towel repeat, repeat, repeat and enjoy! : )

  3. You can get white vinegar anywhere! Don't use rice vinegar but you can use apple cider vinegar if you'd like : )
